After talking with the writer about his idea, I went with him to Fenway Park (bringing along a videographer) to talk with the Sox hitting coach about the new approach, and I designed and implemented an interactive story that included video clips and a tool to show how launch angle and exit velocity combine to influence the outcome of a hit.
